Local Event // Yamhill Lavender Festival

If you are a local, or just passing by the weekend of the 13th and 14th you should stop by and check out the Yamhill Lavender Festival! This fun event is held in the small town's Beulah Park and features everything Lavender! There is even lavender gelato and lavender beer! You can stroll through, sample food and refreshments while looking at the local venders, gorgeous art, and listen to local musicians!

There's something for everyone, so bring the kids! There will be craft booths, kids activities, and horse rides. The is also a youth art competition! All entries must be received by the 12th, and will be displayed at the festival and prizes will be awarded! I know my children absolutely love drawing, and love the idea of winning even more ;).

Admission to the Lavender Festival is free, and canned food donations are accepted. Proceeds from the festival go to Yamhelas Community Resource Center, which is a local non-profit that strives to create educational youth resources for the local community, including after-school programs and a preschool program.

If you love small towns and summer events, stop by and check it out! Who knows, maybe I will see you there! :) For more info check out the website:

  1. I just love lavender. We're planning on going to the festival just outside of Portland at the Helvetia Lavender Farm. I just need to make sure to take plenty of claritin with me. haha

    1. How fun! I've never been to a lavender festival yet, so this will be my first! Hoping all the lavender has a calming effect on my kids ;)
