Sunshine and BBQs.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend. It has been super busy around here lately! I've had a week away from work and it has just flown by! The temperature was 90+ for several days, which was a drastic change from the 60 degree weather the week before! We spent several days afternoons slathered up with sunscreen just hanging out in the backyard devouring Popsicle's and playing in the pool. We drove down to the high school where they offer free lunches, and for dinners we BBQ everything on the back deck.

On the 4th we took the kids to the St. Paul Rodeo, then we had a BBQ with family and went back to the rodeo to watch fireworks. I'll write more on that later (with pictures of course!).

Last night the kids scored big and all got to have a sleepover with a friend and Wayne and I went to go see The Lone Ranger, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

This next week I work a couple night shifts and have a meeting, but the remainder of our days will be filled with a Zoo trip, Aquarium trip, and the Yamhill Lavender Festival!  We are busily chipping away at our summer bucket list, how about you?

  1. It sounds like a great weekend. I'll admit I'm a little jealous because you went to a lavender festival! I love everything about lavender the way it smells. Looks. & tastes {its really good mixed with honey to make honey & lavender ice cream}.
