Hey everyone! I have been having a hard time getting motivated the past couple of days with housework – I have just been really tired and not feeling 100%. So what have I been doing instead of dishes? I start creating with Snack Pack Pudding cups! Next Monday I’m hosting a little after-school pre-Halloween party for the kids and their friends. We’ll be decorating cookies, and playing some games – just like a little kick off for the new season. It sure doesn't seem like it should be the tenth month of the year already.

Anyways, up until this afternoon I hadn't told the kids yet about our little party, so I thought it would be fun to create a little treat with Emma and Noah for dessert last night, and then I spilled the news.

We created a little concoction together that I’m dubbing our “Melted Witch Halloween Snack Pack Pudding Cups”. They are fun and easy to make with the kids!

What you need:
  • Vanilla Snack Pack Pudding Cups
  • Green gel food coloring
  • One bag of melting chocolate
  •  3 rolls of fruit rolls
  • Cookie sticks ( I found some sugar cookie sticks while shopping at Walmart)
  • Candy Eyes ( I used bloodshot Halloween ones )

1. I put the kids to work carefully removing the tops off of the pudding cups (we made 10 melted witches). Then I added 3-4 drops of food coloring and helped the kids mix it in. (Make sure you use gel food coloring so it doesn’t dilute the pudding).

2. Next up I melted the chocolate and placed it in an icing bag. I then piped round circles of chocolates out onto parchment paper to create the base of the witches’ hat. Then Emma and Noah sprinkled Halloween colored sprinkles on the chocolate while it was still warm.

3. While the chocolate bases cooled I made the witches brooms by dipping the end of the cookie sticks in chocolate and then wrapping the fruit rolls around them twice. Then I snipped the ends of the fruit roll to make the end of the brooms.

4. After the base of the hats dried I melted more chocolate and piped on the tips of the witches’ hats, and once again let Emma and Noah sprinkle the tops.

5. After everything had set came the fun part – assembling our melted witches.

6. The brooms were placed in the pudding, then the eyes set in and then the cups were topped off with the chocolate hat.

The kids were so excited to eat pudding that was a little out of the ordinary! They love eating Snack Pack Pudding and it’s also a good source of calcium for them – each pudding cup has the same amount of calcium as an 8oz glass of milk!
