Hello my friends! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and were able to spend it with people you love. We had a nice relaxing day just staying at home and lounged in our pajamas all day. The kids slept in until 8 am and then they opened all of their gifts. We watched Christmas movies and I created some snack platters for us to nibble on throughout the day and then I cooked a traditional Christmas dinner for us.

We did have one little incident that made the holiday a little more memorable – a long-board through our dining room’s sliding glass door! Anika stood on it to show off and it went flying out from under her feet and before I knew what happened I heard the shatter. After everyone calmed down (Emma and Noah thought the glass looked like snow!)I took Anika's picture to remember the moment and Wayne spent a couple of hours getting it all cleaned up. Luckily for us the window was double paned and only shattered through the first layer, so we didn't have to board it up until we buy a new window!

Sitting around and relaxing was so nice, yet it really made me realize how exhausted I am lately. Maybe it’s the let down from the holidays, maybe it’s just been the crazy schedule I’ve had lately, but right now nothing sounds better to me than sitting around in my sweats and vegging out in front of the television for a day or two – which is exactly what I’m doing right now.
Thank goodness for days with nothing to do.

How was your Christmas?

~Melissa
