Friday afternoon we loaded up the kids and drove to Portland for the Lego® KidsFest which is at the Convention Center this weekend through tomorrow (the 13th). The kids were just a little bit excited as they sat in the car wondering what all the festival would entail.
It did not let them down.
Three acres of every kind of Lego imaginable. It was very family friendly and everything was hands on. There were plenty of areas for sitting down if someone needed a break, and plenty of attendants/staff to answer any questions.
The KidsFest was busy, but not crowded. By breaking the show down into sessions, it really eliminated the potential to become over chaotic. There was lots of room for all the kids to build their own masterpieces.
It was such a relief to see the kids (of all ages!) getting along and playing together, and was so nice to see not only families, but also fathers and sons spending quality time together.
I'm so glad we were able to take the kids on an adventure to "the big city" and create some wonderful memories together.
If you have been wanting to go you can hurry up and pre-purchase a ticket for tomorrow's show HERE.

My son is a Lego NUT and he loves places like this. Looks like your crowd did too. Glad you had a great time. :)
